BIT SEATS

DIASTEMA

  bit seats

To allow a riding horse's bit to fit more comfortably into its mouth, a bit seat can be implemented. This procedure consists of rounding the top edges of the first upper molars and also the first lower molars. This creates a gap (or seat) for the bit to fit into.

The procedure will reduce the risk of the bit nipping the horses inner cheek against the molar teeth.
